Tryouts are conducted by independent evaluators.  Coaches will be determined after teams are selected. If you are interested in coaching a team please email Nanci Russell at .    Each team consists of 10-12 players. Tryouts for Wellesley residents for Metrowest Basketball 2010-2011 will be held weeknights September 27-October 1 and
October 4-October 8 but the times for each age group have yet to be determined.  If your child has previously played in the Metrowest league or in the Youth basketball league they are in our database and will receive an informational email concerning tryouts as soon as they are scheduled. Parents are not invited to observe tryouts as we feel it distracts the players.  Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout to receive a numbered identification pin-on tag which you will wear during the tryout.  Bring your own basketball to tryouts.  Players are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions. 

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND TRYOUTS PLEASE EMAIL ME AT TO TELL ME YOUR GRADE.  This is important in case we need to notify you of time changes.

A downloadable pre-registration form is required for every participant who is interested in trying out for one of the grade-level teams. This form can be found under “documents” on the left side of the Association page.  Please bring the completed form with you to the first tryout. Along with your pre-registration form please bring a self-addressed stamped envelope in which we will mail your tryout results during the week following the second tryout. 
Once players are selected and teams are formed for the 2010-2011 season, online registration will need to be completed for those boys and girls selected.  You will be required to come back to this site and complete your child's registration for the Metrowest program.
