Zero Tolerance on Coach/Referee Interactions

All individuals responsible for a team shall support the referee. Failure to do so will undermine the referee's authority and has the potential of creating a hostile environment for the players, the referee, and spectators.  Consequently, the WYBA has adopted the following rule two rules regarding Coach / Referee Interactions:

Absolutely no disputing calls or yelling at the referee either during or after the game.

There is no “running dialogue” with the referee.  That is constant criticism, sarcasm, harassment, intimidation, or physical interaction of any kind during or after the game.

Upon receiving a written complaint regarding a violation of this rule from the referee team, the WYBA will notify the coach of a 1 game suspension to be served the next game.

If coaches have questions or feedback regarding a particular game or referee, please contact the Division Coordinator.  Your constructive feedback, and more importantly your adherence to this rule is greatly appreciated.
